National Novel Writing Month

Freckles:

Just thought I'd take a moment out here to tell you what Deb is doing! She's gone and signed up to write a novel this month! A bunch of other writers on the Verla Kay Children's Writer site talked her into it. They were so excited about challenging themselves that she got caught up in the fun and signed herself right up!

Anyway, she's starting today to write a 50,000-word novel by November 30th! That's 1,667 words every single day for 30 days! And she's got work and some meetings and stuff she has to go to, so where she's going to find the time for this plus tell our story, I don't know! Guess we'll see! (And we're just getting to the exciting part of our story!)

You can follow her progress by clicking the icon on the right side of the screen -- the one that looks like this (Sometimes their site is a little slow to load because they've got over 90,000 writers participating) :

Wish her luck!
She's gonna need it =:-)

Wow! 50,000 words in a month? Deb has guts, Freckles! Hope she makes it!

So, Freckles, maybe you should try to be a bit nicer to Deb for a while. You two have much more in common than you want to know - very brave and adventurous, both of you.

Go Deb!

Yeah, Deb! Maybe Daisy could babysit Freckles while you write? Ha ha! I have a bunny reference in my posting this week for Freckles and included a link to your blog!

Thank you for stopping by, Sara. I don't know if I have more guts or stupidity, but I'm on track for my 50,000 words so far (of course, it's only the 2nd day!)

Deb, I don't know if Freckles will ever see that we are both brave and adventurous souls. Deep sigh!

Rachel, Freckles was thrilled that you mentioned her in your blog. She kind of likes being famous! Freckles has kind of a dog complex (thinks they are all evil and out to eat her food!), so not sure the babysitting thing would work out =:-)
