There are beautiful sandy beaches all along the coast, and we couldn't have asked for better weather. Gorgeous clear skies all the way. There are long stretches of blue ocean as far as you can see and sometimes huge rocks rising from the sea that look like a giant plopped them right down in the water.
I had to take a picture of the warning signs. Might be easier to have a sign showing what you CAN do at the beach!
The last two pictures were taken at Lincoln City. There are always kites flying there (could have something to do with the kite shop right across the highway from this public access!)
We stayed at a hotel right on the beach. Lovely!

oh that looks nice!
We were in Lincoln City in April and I think we stayed at a house right near where you're at. Pretty fun.
Looks like a blast.
Lovely pics, looks like you had a wonderful time:)
Ohhhhhhh. So envious. Sitting in hot city, toiling over dull desk, looking at other people's wonderful vacations while a salty tear slides down my face and plops onto my dull lunch.....
looks like a nice area of coast - those giant rocks are very impressive!
Darn it leashes required! -Shadow the Dog
I think Freckles would have enjoyed these places too....
I'm glad you had such a good vacation. Love your cave housing. Great pictures.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooo ... you didn't have to... We LOVE the Ore Coast. Lived a whole year in Bandon, way down by Coos Bay, right on the beach.
(Don't feel too sorry for Glenna - did you see that sandwich and drink the other day????)
Hi Freckles!
just a quickie stop by as i need to get ready to go to another vet with my little fatso! this post caught my eye though....i did my first glass apprenticeship in cannon beach right across the street from haystack rock. funnily enough i took my first real class with lino tagliapietra at haystack mountain school of the arts, the two experiences couldn't have more diametrically opposed!
oregon....my favorite state of all time.
Cannon Beach is one of my favorite places! The PNW Children's Book Conference that I attended a couple of weeks ago used to be called the Haystack conference in honor of Haystack rock because the conference originated at Cannon Beach.
Oh man! How gorgeous! Truly picture perfect!
Aggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh .... If you don't move on and get past these pictures I am going to leave it all behind and head for the Oregon Coast and just be a bum!!!
is you all ok?
